At Teaching Life, we believe in three core tenants of medicine:
1) All clinicians, regardless of scope of proctice, have the potential to greatly benefit their patients given the right tools;
2) The tools of medicine are primarily knowledge based - if a clinician knows enough, better outcomes result;
and,
3) Quality healthcare is a fundamental right of all persons

As a community, FOAM strives to make the world a better place by keeing our medical providers constantly on the cusp of new medicine - for free.

If you want to know how we practiced medicine 5 years ago, read a textbook. If you want to know how we practiced medicine 2 years ago, read a journal. If you want to know how we practice medicine now, go to a (good) conference. If you want to know how we will practice medicine in the future, listen in the hallways and use FOAM.
By building and using the FOAM concept, clinicians are encouraging and participating the spread of high-quality healthcare to all persons without barrier of funds or access.
